If you have a droid 2 with 3g hotspot, can you use that for 3g on the ipad?

    Cool, thanks. Does it matter that the droid 2 is verizon and not att?

    No, the droid 2 emits wifi signals, which has nothing to do with verizon or at&t. And it works even if your iPad is wifi-only.

    Thank you. That makes it cheaper and better reception then ATT!

    just one thing. The phone isn't designed to run as a hotspot all the time. meaning, it will suck the life out of your battery and run very hot (or so I've read on lifehackere somewhere).

    OK thanks, good to know. Dont plan on using it a ton, just for the times when Im not at home and away from free wifi.
