Okay, so I'm very new to the iPhone scene. I bought an unlocked 1st gen iPhone a few months back with 1.1.4 installed. When Pwnage came out I took the risk and upgraded successfully to 2.0. I haven't run any updates since then.
I really want to upgrade to 2.1. How do I go about this? I'm getting a lot of mixed messages on the forum, some say do it 'naturally', that is upgrade to iTunes 8 and just let the computer do it for me, and others say to wait.
Can anyone give me the straight dope? The bugginess of 2.0 is driving me nutty, lots of crashes for no reason.
