iMac or MBP Screen for Game Console?

I do not want to have a TV in my dorm room this fall.
Is it possible to use my 360 through any tuner boxes/cards that are currently on the market?
I'd prefer component connection of course, but I could live with composite.
My room will have a decent cable package as well, so coax + one of the other inputs would be a real bonus.


I am getting either a high end MBP or high end iMac for christmas... maybe sooner.

Also, any suggestions on speakers that could be attached RCA to 360, and 1/8" to my Mac simultaneously would be really appreciated.

iirc elgato's eyetv hybrid can have a game console hooked up to it, but it's standard def and there is noticable lag.

imo you'd be better off getting an tv or an external monitor.
