Hey everyone. I have this bug that already plaged several iphone users. I m gonna post my specific problem and I hope someone can share some insight. Screenshot bellow. 2 Questions:

Lets begin, so 3 of the main Carriers in my country are "Vivo", "Tim" and "Claro"

I bought 2 unlocked iphones. On the 1st, I put a "Vivo" chip. On the 2nd I put a "Tim" chip.

On Vivo, iMessage activated. On Tim, it keeps forever waiting for activation. Afterewards, I took out the Tim chip and put a Claro chip on the 2nd iPhone. iMessage activates.

Then, I got a second Tim chip and placed on the 1st iPhone. iMessage keeps forever waiting for activation.

So, I am curious why the carrier Tim is not working properly with iPhones. There maybe some similar case worlwide, or even someone in this forum familiar with this particular carrier, so I tought this was worth posting.

1) Why does this happen?

Now the second question wich is the most important. As I changed carriers (from Vivo to Tim, and numbers in the process) iMessage is not activating, at least not getting the new number. When I got to "send and receive" it shows my old number greyed out and not "checked" (old number is cancelled and SIM in the trash)

Cause I do have an apple ID, I can log in into imessage using my icloud email, and therefore I have iMessage functionally working. My iPad and phone are gettint the same messages, everything looks good, even tough we know it isnt.

2) So, regarding security, do I need to worry? Eventually, my old number will go to someone else. When this happens, will this someone get my iMessages? When someone messages this old number, will I receive the messages instead?

Maybe just be patient? When I got a new SIM card and number, it took 24 hours for iMessage and FaceTime to activate on my new number.

my iMessage had to be reset this week because it went into activating status. I had to turn off iMessage and FaceTime, then go in and reset network settings. Once the phone turned back on I went in and turned on iMessage and FaceTime and then my iMessage worked
