Do you have photos/files/links under Info in iMessage after updating to 13?

Go to a message conversation - tap the persons name - tap Info.

I am trying to see how widespread this is and if it’s isolated to certain devices or how a device is updated.

As of now, I know the following:

  • New phone setup with iCloud sign in and iCloud messages on, no attachments are indexed.
  • Existing 12.x phone updated to 13 GM that previously showed attachments, no longer shows attachments. Also uses iCloud messages.
  • Phone restored from iTunes backup or iCloud backup, no longer shows attachments in messages.
  • Any NEW files/links/photos sent, DO show up under Info. However, no previous ones will.
Hoping you all can weigh in and share your own findings on this. Would be very helpful.

Thanks!

Ok, what is supposed to happen?

You're suppose to have all your message attachments. Files/Photos/Links in separate groups so you can quickly see what's inside iMessage instead of having to scroll all through your past history. It used to work. However, it's not working for me. I've tried many different variants and formulations. Fresh install. Restore from iCloud backup. Restore from iTunes. Restore from GM to Beta 3. Nothing. Even new iCloud accounts never associated with the Beta I have tried and they don't index/show attachments. Not until a message is sent/received AFTER the update.
