iMovie is importing all my 16:9 videos as 4:3 movie clips which are vertically stretched making the whole thing look ugly. Is it possible to instead use Black bars on top and bottom or cutting off extra portion from the two sides completely thereby resulting in a 4:3 video without actually stretching it in any sort. BTW the option "Automatic DV pillar boxing and letterboxing" is already checked. I even tried to import the clips after unchecking it but still the clips look 4:3 stretched only. Please tell me how to correct this? or will it be automatically be corrected when iDVD writes it to a dvd? Any suggestion/help will be great. Thanx.

BTW I dont have any WS TV. I`ll be playin this dvd only on 4:3 TVs.

EDIT: I`ve figured out a solution to my problem. My Sony Handycam was set to output for a 4:3 TV. When I changed the menu settings to output for 16:9 TV, iMovie was able to put black bars on top and bottom of the clip so as to keep the original ratio.
