So I'm in a bit of a messy situation.

I formatted my Macbook Pro today. I have full backups on an external Time Machine drive. Upon reinstalling Leopard and many of my programs, it was time to do Mail. I copied over the library files from root/library/mail as well as from root/users/myaccount/library/mail. I overwrote the files on the destination drive. Upon starting mail with the library files in place, I believe mail imported a couple of them - nowhere near all of them, however. It also did not import any accounts. While the accounts aren't so vital as I do have that information, I'm relatively screwed without my past emails.

I've since tried copying the library files over again without luck - it seems to import them as it sees fit rather than mirroring the behavior of my old Mail configuration. There are about 2000 inbox messages as well as another 5-800 or so in other folders that should be imported, while the most I've seen so far is 600.

Note that I'm not using the drive with Time Machine on the new install yet, it's just got all of my backups on it for now really and it operating as a normal lard drive.

Please, I would very much appreciate any input - I'm very, very screwed without these emails and they don't seem to want to import as they should. If you need any further information, please don't hesitate to ask, I'll do my best. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide to get me out of this!

*Edit

Now, when I copy over the backup Mail folder, Mail imports up to file 2205 - out of about 2600. Then it just sits there. It's done this a couple times before at different stages, but I've tried this several times now with the same result.
