That's right browser fans, in Safari you can give that cookie popup a painful death.

One site that comes to mind, the formula1.com website, would ask about cookies and you make your choices.

The problem with that site was (WAS ... <snicker>) that it would CONTINUALLY hound you with cookie popups, whenever you came back to the site.

Now in the left side of the Safari address bar is a small rectangle with two lines underneath.

When the cookie nonsense is up and active click on that portion of the webpage title bar and you'll have an option to 'Hide Distracting Items...'

When you click on it you can then hover around the webpage and various parts will be highlighted.

Click on the cookie popup and you will see it satisfactorily 'finger snapped' into oblivion (think Thanos in the Avengers movies).

I am curious how long it will take for the EU Commission to begin bleating about this feature.

Does it disable the cookie warnings for all websites, or do you have to do this for each website individually? (Admittedly, I never use Safari).

In all other browsers (Chrome-based and Firefox), there's the "I don't care about cookies" extension. It simply disables the cookie popups everywhere. I haven't seen these idiotic warnings anywhere for years by now thanks to this extension.

I believe the answer is you have to run the "hide distracting items" routine for each website.
It's not a "one run fits all" thing.

But, even having to do that, it's WAY better than it was before...

I see. Well, running it for every website is also pretty insane. It will never end.

Like I mentioned, I never use Safari so I'm not sure what's going on in that part of the world... I briefly googled i don't care about cookies alternative for safari, which brought these results:

Don't know if any of these actually work.

P.S. Those EU bureaucrats who came up with this harmful nonsense should be sent to re-education camps and barred from further public service for life.
