Any ideas what month in 2015 the 6S and 6S Plus will be released? My iPhone 6 plus is being delivered next week but thinking I might return it and wait to see what Apple brings to the table on the 6S. I'm in no rush my 32gb 4S is still running great on iOS 6 jailbroken. I've had it 3 yrs, never had any problems. Never been restored, replaced or taken in. Not a scratch, chip, or dent anywhere.

Already thinking ahead huh. My guess is September or October of next year. Seems to be pretty consistent as of late. Its a yearly release.

iPhone 6S will be announced on Tuesday Sep 8, 2015 and released on Friday Sep 18, 2015. Same design, 2GB RAM, faster CPU/GPU.

Are you for real? The last three iPhones (5, 5S, 6) have been released in September. The 4S before it was released in October. The 3GS and 4 were also released in September. If that's anything to go by, a revision would come next September at the earliest. There's no way Apple would come out with a replacement phone before a year has passed.

Between September and October, although I do miss the summer releases. I kinda hope the 6S is released in August.

The 3GS and 4 were both released in the summer. The 4 launched in June of 2010.

My mistake. I was looking at the wrong field for those. I recalled the earlier iPhones were released in summer, but didn't remember which at the time.

Pretty sure those were released June/July.

That's what I thought too.

Whatever the release date rest assured Apple will brainwash 10 million people into thinking their current iPhone 6/6+ is as outdated as a Nokia 3310 and must be upgraded.

That blog would need some seriously convincing info to make me believe the product cycle will be that short. The Apple Watch could be coming out around then, but I don't see Apple switching from the fall for the iPhone releases.

Probably around same time as the 6/6+ have been released. Will be same design, maybe larger battery, "improved" camera, new processor, maybe more ram, and that will be about it

I'm curious as to whether or not they bother with an "s" series for the 6 at all. The 6 launches still need to get past the bad yields of screens stage.

Until that is done and production can keep up with even the phones launched just a couple of weeks ago, I can't imagine they would release an "s", and then try to do a "7" launch just a few months after that.

The market has gotten much bigger over the last few models and we are seeing how hard it is to deliver such a hot product when the factories are struggling to even hire enough workers for current production.

They're going to catch up to demand at some point in the not too distant future. You make it seem like this will be a constant issue deep into 2015. It's also quite possible that the 6S models will use the same displays as their predecessors and the yield issues will have been long worked out by then.

It's not uncommon for Apple to have supply issues with new product designs. Availability of the S phones seems to rarely be an issue beyond the first few weeks.
