Inconsistency in colors of Apple products

Why is Apple so inconstant with their available colors?

Even within the given colors there is always slightly different shades and such.
I have/had an iPad Pro, iPhones and a MacBook Air M1 in space grey and none of them have the exact same color.

I am thinking of ordering a Mac mini M1, besides my current MacBook Air M1.
The M1 mini isn't even available in space grey and I bet that when the color becomes available, it will have a different shade once again.
I'd like to have a matching (desk) setup Apple, who are you doing a favor by constantly changing colors?

Add a new fancy special color once in a while, but stick to one type of silver, one type of gold and one type of space grey please...

The variation in color never bothered me. Regarding the Mini, many of us think that Apple used silver to make a statement that it is an entry level product, as opposed to the 2018 Mini where they wanted to emphasize that it was more pro-oriented than previous models. There has never been any choice of colors with the Mini, they have always just been silver until 2018, and have now returned to that.

Fair point concerning the Mini, I'd still say give people the same choice over all the devices.
Besides simplicity and convenience, Apple products also stand for design. All these different shades and variations don't do the design aspect any justice in my opinion.

Space grey is even more popular than Apple's famous silver nowadays, be consistent and make it an option for all devices.
