Why has the price been increased by $50 for the unlocked iPhone 5 in Canada?? ughhhh!!
Yeah WTF...especially since the Canadian dollar is higher than the US dollar right now.
Yeah that was a bit of a shock, and totally unwarranted IMO.
I like how people think everything is a direct currency conversion when obviously there is an entirely different tax and finance structure all-together.
The problem is that the iPhone 4S was $50 cheaper (on par with the US) when it came out, in Canada. Unless that tax and finance structure became more expensive in the past year...I can't see how this is anything short of a money grab.
Gotta pay them lawyers somehow. Might as well be the Canadians.
The iPhone 5 is £30 more expensive in the UK than the iPhone 4S was upon release (handset only prices).
Yeah that bums me out. Along with the 16GB base it sucks.
Hmmm maybe the protection plan will be included....ughh damn you apple, i'm still going to end up buying a $1100 smartphone (64gb unlocked) cause i have too many apple things already.
