Nothing to gloat about. Just funny. Like the resist banner that hung nearby.

What are they saying? That Trump is a chicken because he won't attack North Korea?

Even if their messaging is confusing at best, alarming at worst, shouldn't they have waited until I dunno... he was actually there and could see it out of the back window?

I think it is a rooster. From the piece about the ones in the chinese mall:

A statue of the "Trump rooster," according to a CNN report, will stand outside a mall in the Chinese city of Taiyuan. The rooster, which comes complete with Trump's signature hairstyle and hand gestures, was commissioned by the company that owns the mall.

"I think the rooster is very cute and funny, the hairstyle and eyebrows look very much like Donald Trump. I'm sure it will attract a lot of customers," Wei Qing, whose Shenghe Yangtai Business is selling replica roosters, told CNN.

The Trump rooster is being sold in at least four stores, with prices ranging from $57 to $1,739 for a 32 foot tall statue.

2017, the first year of Trump's presidency, will also be the year of the rooster in the Chinese zodiac.

Well, the old adage "if it crows, it's a rooster; if it lays an egg, it's a hen" doesn't help much in this case.

Although Trump does crow a lot, he also lays a lot of eggs, so who knows?

Interestingly enough, hermaphroditism does occur in chickens and roosters.

    Obligatory Chicken Boo, from Animaniacs:

Apologies. I couldn't find an episode when Chicken Boo mocked a POTUS. Anywho, Enjoy!

I think they had to wait for permission from parks dept. So the timing wasn't entirely up to them.

I think this should be on top of the White House for the duration of his term. :D

China's willing to let us make of that chicken whatever we will. Including just thinking it's funny. In the cycle of auspicious symbols for a Chinese year, this happens to be a Year of the Rooster. So some outfits in China made up some inflatable chickens that they tailored to have attributes often caricatured over here as being Trump-like. And now somehow one has arrived over here. Undoubtedly some more will turn up now and then lol. Maybe having one parked near the White House will bring a little levity to the West Wing staff and make them all seem less obnoxious.

Giant inflatable chicken as Trojan Horse: bearing the deadly gift of an actual sense of humor?

As hilarious as I think that is, I think those random sightings of scary clowns around the white house grounds would be more appropriate for this administration.

    Please.

Bozo is dead (RIP), The Insane Clown Posse is still out on tour, and Chucky is still trying to hit on Kid Sister to have any time to spend at the White House. ;)

Maybe Caspar the ghost and some ghostly mushroom clouds.

I'd rather we keep the chicken. It does make me hungry though. I'd even settle for scrambled eggs.
