OK, I've got an unlocked/jailbroken iPhone 2G on 2.1 firmware. My macbook is currently still running 10.5.5. I understand that there's something in 10.5.6 that cripples certain jailbreaking (and unlocking?) softwares for the iPhone. As of now, I don't really plan on updating my iPhone to 2.2, but I do want to preserve that possibility, just in case. So, my question is, would I be correct to assume that I need to stay away from updating my OS X to 10.5.6, until further notice? Or have I been totally misreading the information, and all of that only applies to the 3G iPhones? Also, let's say I choose to keep the 2.1 firmware and forget about 2.2. Updating my macbook to 10.5.6 won't have any ill effects on my already jailbroken 2G iPhone, right? Thanks for your time!
