This is going to be an ugly loss for Trump and the Republican party, but they're getting what they asked for.

In the swing states that matter most in the presidential race, Donald Trump doesn’t have a prayer against Hillary Clinton in the general election.

That’s according to top operatives, strategists and activists in 10 battleground states who participated in this week’s POLITICO Caucus. Nearly 90 percent of them said Clinton would defeat Trump in their home states in a November match-up.

Republicans are only slightly more bullish on Trump’s prospects than Democrats: More than three-quarters of GOP insiders expect Clinton to best the Republican front-runner in a general-election contest in their respective states. Among Democrats, the belief is nearly universal: 99 percent of surveyed said will Clinton will beat Trump.

In three of the biggest swing states—Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida—Republicans were particularly downbeat about the prospect of a Trump-Clinton contest.

“There is positively no way for Trump to win in Pennsylvania,” said a Republican from that state.

I love these desperate threads!

I can't wait for the general election :p

Put your money where your mouth is!
It's Politico and they're citing both Democratic and GOP party sources. Universally, most agree that Trump will get slayed in the General. Try to remember, we're currently seeing Trump in his element within the GOP. As soon as he's out of that bubble in the real world where sane people get a vote, it's a completely different ballgame.

News should get out of their fantasy bubble as time has shown over and over again. Every prediction and biased opinion so far has failed. The Trump train is coming..be afraid...be very afraid..

Sure he has, lest we've not heard every media outlet replaying his "she's playing the woman card" comment over the last two days. He was already polling at 70% disapproval with women, apparently that number just wasn't high enough.

"Party sources" :p

Trump has drawn the most primary votes in the history of the United States.

Hitlary is the first nominee in history to be under active FBI investigation for major crimes - while they are running for president :D

Right now I am just trying to figure out how I can get folks like you to bet with me :D

That's not what you said. You said in "the history of the United States."

He doesn't even have the most in this election cycle.

Hillary has over 2 million more votes than Trump in their respective primaries right now.

She only ran against one person... Trump against 16. Let's see what happens in the general when the independents and dems changing parties can vote republican... dems 30% down, Republicans 70% up...be afraid...:D

@Meister Trump COULD amass in opinion piece. Hillary still has the most. Seems to me you guys are at war with math more than you are any candidate.
You guys seriously believe that she has a chance, don't you :p

The Trumpster fought against 16 establishment contenders who didn't hold back and, until this very moment, try every dirty trick in the book to take him down. And despite that he drew the most gop votes ever!

The old hag in the Kim Jong Un outfit still has problems against an old socialist muppet who doesn't want to be mean to her.

This is going to be priceless!:D

Haha. Afraid of what?

America is going to self destruct regardless of who wins in November.

I predict that GOP voters will once again be shocked on election night, as they were with Romney in 2012, because they wish to live in an echo chamber.
Just wait until Trump gets annihilated in the debates. He couldn't even win a substantive debate against a 3rd grader.

3rd Grader: "What's your current stance on maintaining a relationship with our foreign allies, Mr. Trump?"

Trump: "Ha! Will you look at this? I'm getting drilled on foreign affairs by someone who hasn't even been laid yet! How am I supposed to take this question seriously? Is this really the best you people have?"

3rd Grader: "I'm 8 years old, Mr. Trump. My hormones haven't even started kicking in yet."

Trump: "That's an excuse? I'll have you know that my au pair was plowing me when I was three. Look at that! I like foreign people! I give them jobs! If they want to throw a little tang my way, who am I to complain? I'm a man. This is what I do."

Crowd: WOOP WOOP WOOP WOOP WOOP!

The only good thing about Trump leading the GOP nomination is that it affirms that a republican candidate doesn't need to go through the Evangelical ringer, can basically say **** you to them, and still get the nod. It means their numbers are dwindling and their influence is following suit.

Trump's already done a fair bit of Evangelical pandering. He hasn't had to go as far with it, because, for reasons that are entirely beyond me, they seem to love him by default.

...this might be one of the signs of the Antichrist, by the way.

Yes it will but I bet all the Trumpsuckers will go radio silent after the election denying us the opportunity to gloat. The thing you don't understand is that Trump has a rabid following of about 40% of registered Republicans. They'll vote for him no mattter what. 40% of registered Republicans isn't enough to win for dog catcher, let alone POTUS. He is despised by 60%+ of every group in the US.

Hasn't helped, at best on average he might net 30% (the default ones). Carson and Cruz are still the Evangelical's cream of the crop. Trump's net favorability rating with them is the second poorest only to Clinton. His position on planned parenthood immediately disqualifies him with over half of them.
