I seem to remember reading something about a change when upgrading to the release edition of iOS 15 when on the beta profile.

My (possibly failing) memory is that previously when you had a beta profile installed you could upgrade to the release candidate but not the final public wide release. But you can now. Is that correct? Do I remove the beta profile after the final public release (assuming I want to get off the beta train)?

First of all RC and final release are the same build 99% of the time.

Correct, remove the beta and you’re off the 🚂

Am I imagining that there was a recent change to the effect that I mentioned?

I forgot how to remove the beta profile and where it is located…😩. I can’t find Profile or Profiles anywhere in SETTINGS. Help! 😊

Sorry, stupid question to most, but I'm a newbie at Beta....if you remove the Beta profile, and install the final public release when it comes out, all the configuration done on the device will remain there? Hate to think I would have to start from scratch after tweaking it to hell.

It's the way it's always been.

Removing the profile will not wipe your device. Updating to final release will be no different to any other update.
