Intel Imac in apple forums

Hey have you guys realized that when you go to the apple discussion board and you go to the intel Imac section it has in parenthesis (Early 2006) Duo Core? Could that mean that they are planning to release another Intel Imac later on this year with a different chip?

Well, I didn't have a look, but as the Intel iMac with a Dual Core came out in early 2006 (Macworld), I think that this is what they meant.

I understand what you are saying but why didnt they couldnt just say Intel Imac?

it's a pretty good bet that there will be another revision of the imac this year... how often has the imac ever gone a whole year without updates? (Never, I think.)
