it's only a crime when others do it to us.

My favourite part of the Bourne movies was the way it was a massive scandal because they were murdering American citizens.

It's hypocritical. But here's the thing. I care what happens to our country just a little more.

Regardless - one doesn't negate the other. You can not write off Russian's hacking the US by saying we've interfered with elections. Two different items.

Well I mean, at least we have actual proof of the interference in Israel.

Sounds bad. Obama shouldn't have done it.

Means it could be Israel who interfered. This gives them a motive IMO.

I think the most upsetting part is it didn’t work.

We've played the world power card a lot. We haven't left any of those countries any better off either. If anything we've created animosity towards us. Were the people we considered dictators bad? Probably. When we removed them did something better take its place though?

Honestly we need our asses handed to us on multiple levels. We’ve gotten way too sloppy and lazy with our world leadership. It’s a never ending parade of bad examples to lead by, and as far as I can tell Trump’s big plan to make America great again is the triumphant return of crappy jobs. That’s what we’re aiming high for right now. Yeah, great.

You can't fight a war with dildos and bongs.

I'm joking democrats. Seriously though, if we get back what we've doled out, we're going to end up in a massive war. I can't help but feel like if all the countries we meddled in united, we'd be pretty f'ed.

I think it's funny people think this is the first time it's happened, or at least are acting like that's the case. That would be naive though. This time they just need an excuse for the massive failure.

Agreed and there are probably 2 decade’s worth of countywide road repair projects to keep former manufacturing workers busy. And that’s for an obvious starter. Plus it’s probably a lot more rewarding than welding a door to a chassis ad infinitum and definitely more beneficial to more people.

Maybe not, but I would liked to have fought that war very much.

NPR says the US has interfered 80 times worldwide in foreign elections between 1946 and 2000

    source

I'll take the number with a grain of salt and obviously there is different levels of interfering but yeah....

Israel should jail those Israeli citizens who were involved with foreign interference in their elections. Just like we should do the same to those involved in interfering in ours.

There was no foreign interference there. At the most it was a political party trying to make sure their candidate won their primary instead of the independent trying to run under their banner.

we'd have to jail you too if we start locking up everybody who doesn't follow the law.......fortunately you've saved the tax payers a few dollars in law enforcement costs since you've already admitted you're breaking the law.......and we thank you for that :D
