iPod touch Intermittent Line on screen

I have a ipod Touch 2G, got it over a year ago. I have had an intermittent issue of a vertical line appearing on the screen. It is intermittent but it seems to be happening more often. I called Apple Care and they suggesting resetting it- unfortunately it didn't happen consistently so I couldn't bring it in to the Apple Store.

Would love to hear people's thoughts.
