Invert colors of a picture

Does anyone know how I can invert the colors of a picture in Preview or iPhoto?

Maybe in Aperture? Maybe with a 3rd party application?

If you go to Tools > Adjust Color in Preview, flip the black and white sliders around and then play with the slider in the middle until you get the correct colour. It's easiest to do it with your screen inverted, then once you get back to the original colours in the image you know you've inverted it properly.

Can also be done in Photoshop - just hit Cmd-I.

Drag the Black slider from the left bottom of the color profile to the right bottom.
Drag the white slider from the right bottom to the left bottom of the color profile.

Check the result using the "Invert Colors" checkbox in the Accessibility Prefs pane (Displays).

Sorry, they're unlabelled. They the left and right sliders located just under the picture color profile; above the "auto levels" button. You just pull leftmost slider to right, and rightmost all the way to left.
