I bet a search on google or these forums would have told you that you are SOL. Buy a new phone or live with it is about all you can do.

Since downgrading isn't an option, have you tried restoring as new to see if that might help?

That really sucks. :( I've learned to wait on updates until most of the forums say an update is okay... which there have been too much complaints about 11 to upgrade past iOS 10.

Your only option is to keep updating right up until iOS 12 release.... and then never update past that. (Or buy a newer phone... there are really good sales on SE and 6s' right now. NOT 6! Get 6s or 7.... 6 on iOS 11 I've heard is terrible too.)

There's sales this weekend on iPhones at different retailers so do some internet shopping. And try to think of it this way: if you get a 7 or 8, it is going to last you 2-3 years so spending more money than what you planned/comfortable with will be worth it in the long run because you won't run into the same situation you're in now.
[doublepost=1510501664][/doublepost]But all in all. It depends on what your problem is with iOS 11. Which is probably what CDM's point is.... a restore might help.

But if it's something else that iOS 11 has messed up, then a newer phone with better processor might be in order. That's why I updated to 7 from 5s when a good sale was on the same day of the iPhone x/8 announcement.

Seems like there was an issue with third party screens in relation to the 6s at one point and even through it was addressed in an update for some reason they didn't stop signing (perhaps they overlooked it or something else).

That doesn't seem like that was the type of reasoning why the 6s downgrade was available (as in a particular hardware incompatibility issue).

They don't see those issues as a problem (or even acknowledge their existence), so to Apple that wouldn't be a reason to provide an alternative sadly.

iPhone 5s is in terrible problem with iOS 11.x.x like slow performance and every time after waking the device up there’s a 2-3 second lag and glitches, the condition of iOS 11.x.x is very bad in 5s everybody know according to twitter: https://twitter.com/search?f=tweets&q=@applesupport 11 5s&src=typd

Oh I personally completely agree. iOS 11 is a horrible experience even on the iPhone 7 (or at the very least, not what you would expect for a circa. $600 product at just 1 year old), so I can't image what the 5s is going through.

But my comment wasn't about my point of view, it was about how Apple see it. If they perceived it as a problem, it would be fixed straight away (or wouldn't happen in the first place) basically.

Everyone on the Apple campus probably get the latest phones every year so the staff have no knowledge or concern for older models.

This is a real problem for their image.

That’s Apple nudging you to upgrade your phone.

Then we should say that apple convert its older devices in the garbage for selling their new products

Twitter somehow even comes close to representing a tiny fraction of consumers, let alone "everybody"?
