Do you think the iOS 11 reveal next month will shed some light on what the design/feature nature of the next iPhone?

I'm pretty sure I remember the iOS reveal that showed provided details on 3D touch prior to the reveal.

Can you state a better example? It's really hard to tell if it's a new feature or a feature that revolves around a new technology (the hold down on Space to move typing cursor went to 3D Touch, but that wasn't easily apparent)

and it may (show the next technologies for iOS), but it's hard to say since we don't even know what's going to be in iOS 11

I remember some iOS 5 betas had all the Siri Dictation assets before the service was announced with the 4s, the iPhone 5 screen dimensions existed in iOS 6 early betas, and iOS 9 hinted at the front flash for the 6s. Definitely we'll see some hints in iOS 11 somewhere.

This is what i was thinking. If the next iphone indeed has some sort of a touchbar then there should be some info within the software hinting towards this feature.

I dunno about you, but the only feature that would be interesting for me would be the enhanced FaceTime.

And even with that, I'm not willing to give up my 9.0.2 jailbreak.

Ymmv.

But that's how pathetic the iOS upgrades have been in almost 2 years.

Again, ymmv. :D

I suppose dark mode could be a hint for OLED displays, but then again, that's not much of a secret.

But yes, I am interested in seeing what interesting tidbits come out of iOS 11.

By all means, didn't cross my mind :)...

But, IOS 11, hmmmmmmm,....not expecting too much.......new make up maybe, polished UI....no new functions......that's it.

Every single version of iOS has had new functionality. Why would you expect them to stop now?
