Dang! I’m on a XS Max too and my battery is 30% worse on betas than public firmwares. I’ve been trying to figure out my problem for a while now. Regardless, I’ll file a radar to see if any improvements can be made on beta firmwares.

Is battery issue on iphone 8 fixed? After upgrade to 12.1.2 my battery is getting drained much faster.

Is that a known/widespread issue associated with iOS 12.1.2 (and iPhone 8 in particular)?

Sporting an 8 myself, I would like more insight into this. My battery heath stands at 94% and battery life is more or less great. I might be seeing a slightly faster drop from 100 to 80 percent though. I am on beta 2, 12.1.3.

With the limited information you have given us it’s difficult to help.

But maybe an app sucking up more juice than it should?

Have you ruled out rogue background apps? Force close all apps and reboot the device? Any change in usage?

I noticed it takes awhile to connect to public WiFi. When selecting the WiFi in settings, it shows its connected. It doesn’t show on the status bar. After maybe a minute, the captive page finally shows up.
