Thanks for the heads up.

I’ve been deliberating the move to 13.1 as I wasn’t keen to be further tied to the Beta cycle if the first official public release is 13.0

This gives me an additional reason not to update at the moment and is also why I avoided the Watch Beta.

Hope Apple fixes it soon for you as it was a pain when I was going through the same thing during the iOS 13.0 Betas.

WatchOS 5.3 and iOS 13.1 PB1 is hammering my watch battery. I *was* going to update to 5.3.1 but I guess that won't help!

Had 5.3.1 on the watch with the last iOS 13 PB and battery usage was normal and battery life was good.
Its the 13.1 beta that’s causing the battery run away and not 5.3.1.

OG watch on 4.3.2 and the 13.1 beta - issue hasn’t come back for me but was absolutely horrendous a few releases back...watch would be completely dead by 3pm after waking at 6am.

What I want to know, though, is if the drain is caused by iOS beta 13.1 or watchOS 5.3.1? I installed them so close together that I can't tell which one is the real culprit.

10% battery gone 90 mins. Can't wait for the next beta (and hopefully they'll include the fix that appeared in 13.0 PB8 - or was it 7?)

Heres hoping that this battery drain problem is only for a few days until the next beta drops.

Also, when people ask should they get the beta (in general) they need to know they are signing up for possible disruption to their primary devices (if installed on them)

Lastly, Apple's- Break it -->Fixit-->unFixit-->FixIt cycle is something to keep in mind from now on when going for betas.

I concur, lost 50% overnight on the first night, lost 25% over night last night.

This is compared to 2-4% per night normally

Do a reset and restore from backup of your Watch. that has fixed the issue for me every time I started getting excessive battery drain with my watch during the 13.0 beta updates.

Now I have not upgraded to 13.1 yet....a bit nervous to do so seeing some of the issues. But I imaging doing the reset and restore will help here as well.

Its great if it works but I think I will hold off from messing further with my devices and wait for a fix.

The 13.1 beta fixes the mail app to a large extent and it seems a bit normal again, and in general it is stable. I'm saying this after slipping into 13.1 unknowingly

Pretty certain it's the 13.1, at least that has been my experience

+1
Its 13.1. I had 5.3.1 on the AW already with the last of the 13.0 betas and was smooth sailing.

I put it on the charger an our before bed so its full, dont know if that makes a difference or not.

i guess the difference might be that in the morning it might take less time to charge to full. The drain I guess will still happen overnight

It’s really bad for me. Double the normal drain.

Same it forced my hand to upgrade to watchOS 6. Everything is back to normal now and the watch is running better than ever.

Time for me to exit the beta game once IOS 13 and WatchOS 6 are live. Now that I have a watch as well it’s too much of a pain.
