I had over 200 gb free on my iPhone before installing iOS14. I now have only 160GB free. I also had the same issue on an iPad. Anyone else having the same issue?

This issue has been raised numerous times in the iOS 14 beta 1 thread. No one knows why it is happening or if it is even real. But it is definitely occurring.

When I check using my Mac I’m seeing much more available space. Others have suggested it’s a bug with how iOS is reporting space and I tend to agree. I’d expect this to get resolved in an upcoming beta

What seems to have worked for me is

initially I did an OTA Update from iOS 13 and I ended up with over 20 GB of others.

So i made an iCloud back up of iOS 14
Restored to iOS 13 (set up as new)
Again updated to iOS 14
Restored all (on device)
Picked the iOS 14 back up I made earlier when asked

and now it’s a little over 2 GB of others

Bottom line: this seems to be one of those things you just have to deal with if you are running betas. No one expects that it will stay this way. My biggest concern right now is that I don’t want iOS to unload any apps to install beta 2.

I updated then backed up, erased and restored and my storage is back to normal like yours

Weirdest thing is it will eat all that space with more free, but yet I was able to install it on a X with 16GB free of 64 with no errors or issues with free space.

I had similar: updated OTA, had 34gb "Other" (hurts on a 64gb phone!). Deleted 14 profile, restarted, no change still on 14. Did full reset (thought I had sold the phone), restored with a 13 backup no prob. Then decided to keep the phone and did another restore but with the 14 Backup, now only 7gb Other.

Title: iOS 14 Beta took up 60gb of space

It seems to be a problem with space in every first beta of iOS. When I installed iOS 13 beta, my Notes became 20GB with only 40 notes in the app that didn't contain any media at all.
