Ah GM, might as well get it now, rather than go Public Release tomorrow. 24 hours between them, that's very unusual! This whole last couple weeks has been a weird one and thrown most of us in some way or another. I don't mind being wrong :D

Anyone got the ipsw link?

Not seen that it's up yet, just OTA. It'll come (but probably won't be allowed to link here, per forum rules)

I’m ready for iOS 14.1 Beta 1! I guess 14.1 will be released with the new iPhones next month.

I’m downloading 14 right now after I downloaded beta 8 this morning. So I don’t want to go to betas after I get the GM. So should I delete the profile after I complete the GM install and just roll with that and I should get regular non beta updates again moving forward right?

May as well ask this as well. If I uninstall the beta profile on b8 tonight will I get the gm tomorrow as normal ? I know I can get the gm now but was just wondering...

Separately can we change the default mail app yet ? Thanks

Since what was released just now is what will be public tomorrow, here’s my plan, if it helps you great. If not, scroll on. I’m using an iPhone 11 Pro Max and a S4 Apple Watch... YMMV

**This is all After updating to the GM on iPhone and Apple Watch**
1) Unpair Apple Watch. This creates a backup of your Apple Watch
2) Create an iCloud Backup, and then backup again.
3) On iPhone, Reset All Content and Settings.
4) Setup iPhone from iCloud backup Created in Step 2
5) Wait for all apps to be installed again after restoring from backup before setting up Apple Watch from backup created in Step 1.

For anyone that says this is overkill, maybe. But I’ve done it every year after each iOS release and have only had good experiences. Best way to clear out any logs or caches that SHOULD have been removed during the beta process.

Wow. 4.79GB on 11 pro. And "preparing" is taking a loooong time. Lots of cobwebs to clear out, I guess. Screen Shot 2020-09-15 at 15.44.22.jpg

One thing about this quick public release is that there won’t be any 3rd party widgets using the new style on launch, since Xcode GM only came out a couple hours ago.
