Previously when I said "Hey Siri, play [insert radio station name here]" to any of my HomePods, the HomePod did as it was told and I didn't get a notification on my Lock Screen.

Now, not only does it play but my phone insists on showing me what's playing.

And not just me. Everyone in the house gets that notification on their Lock Screen.

It's not playing from my phone, it's not playing via AirPlay, the music is playing natively on the HomePod. I can prove this by switching all the phones into flight mode. But as soon as they reconnect to the network, they show what's playing.

/edit - And on my watch. I look down at my watch and it's showing the 'now playing' display. This sucks.

It's this 'feature'.

This is bloody annoying, is there any way to turn it off?

I felt like I always had this feature. I personally find it convenient as I do use it often but I can definitely see how it can drive others crazy. They should give the option to swipe it away or at least snooze it. If I find a solution, I’ll post it here.

It's been there in some format for ages but it's far more aggressive now.

I have a scene set in my office, every morning I say "Hey Siri, wake up the office". He turns the power on, turns the light on and then starts a radio station playing natively on the HomePod mini in there.

Up until iOS/HomePod 15, that radio station never showed on the Lock Screen. That was great, there was absolutely no reason for it to be there.

With the updates, not only is it there on my phone lock screen but also on the lock screen of every phone in the house. It's really giving them the hump.

I’m assuming you all already tried hard rebooting your devices? I’m trying to find my/your previous replies but just realized you also posted in another sub forum lol

Yes - If you see my shot earlier, this is how Apple think everyone wants it.

It's really frustrating when there are multiple iOS/iPads in the house with loads of HomePods.

I don’t disagree. I have a similar setup to yours it seems so I’ll do some fiddling around and see what I can find. It doesn’t sound normal tho.

This change in 15 is really annoying, if one homepod is playing something by me or anyone else my iPhone and watch will insist on showing me what's playing permanently. If I change the setting to show just the iPhone music when it's paused it will just automatically switch moments later to show what's playing on a homepod again anyway.

Apple this is extremely annoying when you have multiple homepods. If my homepods are playing music I don't want to bloody know about it!
