I have two iPhones, 11 Pro Max and 13 Pro Max. Since updating to 16.4, I seem to be getting a lot of problems with WiFi: difficulty connecting, and now cannot get the 11 to connect at all.

My Macbook connects to the same network no problem. The 13 I got to work after resetting router and doing a soft reset on phone.

The 11, I have tried soft reset, forget network and re-entering details, all to no avail. Cannot connect to App store. Funny thing is, the phone is showing strong wifi signal. Just cannot get it to connect.

Any ideas please anyone?

Sorry, I have no answers but I’m also experiencing this. My wife is too. I thought it was our Eero WiFi network, but it doesn’t appear so. Only our iPhones running 16.4 are having this issue. Random dropping of WiFi connections, especially when moving around the house. Have to turn airplane mode on and off, then it connects fine. Tried resetting network settings too. Frustrating as this happens 10-15 times a day.

Try out DFU restore. Everything fine here

I started experiencing this with iOS 16.4.1. Was fine with my iPhone on iOS 16.4 and prior.

Same issues as you’ve described.

Tried restarting the phone, restarting the connection, switching connections, etc. No fix.

Seems to be hit or miss (mostly miss) as far as working. Surprised it was able to work to be able to make this post.

Sorry. My mistake. Mine also started on 16.4.1 not 16.4.

I eventually managed to fix it by doing another soft reset, but it still intermittently happens. I just do another soft reset and OK again.
Last night, it also happened on my iPad Mni which I had updated, but not used since updating. Again, a soft reset fixed it.
On my iPhone 13 Pro Max, when it happens, the phone won't connect to either wifi or cellular 5G.

Getting it as well with 16.4.1 on all devices that were updated. Not a good "feature" Apple!!

I have no understandings but what other wifi settings we can use? sounds interesting.

I’ve been having the same problem on my iPhone 13. Reset network settings, hard reset, DFU and the problem is still occurring. No wifi or cellular connection. Strangely I can still make and receive phone calls and SMS. Going to the Apple Store tomorrow.

I have a 12 Pro which appears to be exhibitting similar behavior, starting with an earlier iOS 16 update (I can't recall which). I also have a 7+ and a 13 Pro Max which do not exhibit this. The 12 Pro is running 16.6 b2, the 13 Pro Max is on 16.5, and I believe the 7+ is 15.7.3(?)

I've wiped/reset the 12 Pro Max back to default before installing the latest PB and so far so good, however based on the last few resets, I doubt this will fix it.

I also have two wifi access points. One Ubiquti and the other Linksys (to keep IoT separate). The issue happens on both.

I guess at this point I have to wonder if the wifi radio used in certain iphones just isn't 'playing nice' w/iOS 16? *shrug*
