If only I knew what I was diving into which was a pool without water. I have been updating my iPhone for years with the latest Beta and never had a problem like I am having now. Lets get started, first I see there is a major battery drain, next, I got what they call on windows as the blue screen of death. My iPhone just turned blue and blank, and thank God I was able to do a hard restart. Next, I am having my iPhone shut off with no apparent rhythm or reason. Finally, there is no way on God's green earth I can get developers mode on my iPhone to update the latest firmware ( 7A220e ) to my EarPods Pro 2. I am wanting the ability to answer calls by nodding my head. My EarPods pro 2, I have done every single thing that was suggested but it looks like it comes down to my 9 year old Mac computer as the problem, and I am not going to spend over $1,000.00 so can get developer mode on my iPhone, I would be committed if I did something that stupid.

Conclusion: This IOS 18 Beta has won the top award for the most problems I have ever encounter. If you haven't downloaded this, don't, would be my advise to you.

Sorry you're having such problems. Curious what device you're running it on.

This has been an exceptionally smooth dev beta 1 for me. Every app I need worked from day one, I haven't noticed any impactful bugs, and I haven't felt compelled to do a reboot of the phone to clear up any stability issues like I've sometimes seen in the past. Battery has been great (excepting, of course, the first day or so after installing the beta when the phone is doing a ton of indexing, imaging organizing, etc, that it always does after a new OS install).

15 Pro Max, 1TB (almost full .. 929.06 out of 1.02 TB used, yikes, I need to pull some work videos off of this thing). Been nearly flawless so far.

Don’t make me tap the sign.

This is a beta and you should expect some or all of the issues you recount.

They are AirPods Pro 2, not Earpods Pro 2.

You need Xcode on your Mac to activate Developer mode on your iPhone.
