iPod touch iOS 4.0 - Resuming Songs from where last played?

I just updated my iPod Touch 3G to iOS 4.0, and it seems that when attempting to listen to a playlist, if I had only previously listened to a song halfway, it will start from halfway. This is very irritating because even when I just "next" a song, it plays a little into the song before skipping so when I play it again it is already part way into the song. I've checked settings and googled the topic and nothing helped me to deactivate this feature.

If anyone has any input, feel free to share. Thanks in advance.

On iTunes there should be a setting that will allow you to disable this...

I thought only M4b files supported bookmarking, not Mp3
