Are there any new features in iOS 6 for the iphone 5 that can not be used with an iphone 4S?
I don't think any were announced.
Face detection in videos and still shots while shooting a video are the only things I think
iOS 7 will get features to the iPhone 5 that iPhone 4/4S won't get.
I'm surprised there's no stand out feature, at least off the top of my head, just for the iPhone 5?
i mean there's LTE which is way more substantial than any software feature
Wasn't only the iPhone 5 getting panorama pictures?
Not a new feature, just an improved one. It's basically just a faster internet connection.
iPhone 4S got it as well.
my mistake good to know! Thanks.
what is Face detection didnt understand that?
No, from what I've recently read, it's a feature of ios 6 and will work fine on a iPhone 4s. I guess Apple thinks there's enough changes in the phone itself to warrant an upgrade. I have a 4s and I'll be getting the 5 and giving the 4s to my wife. But I'm glad that this new operating system isn't leaving the last generation iphone users out in the cold like they did with Siri and the 4. I always thought that it kind of sucks that a 1 year old phone becomes "outdated" because of a software feature.
I thought the 4S gets all features in iOS6 that the 5 got.
Only major difference is hardware, larger screen and LTE.
I'd assume is like the 4s has for photos - it detects faces and attempts to keep them in focus automatically
