Everything seems good when i click "Update now" and then it goes into the "Backing up ipod" load bar and it is taking EXTREMELY LONG. What is the matter here!? it only has 2 bars done and has been updating for probably 45 minutes now.:mad::mad::confused:

iPod Touch 2Gen iOS 4

I updated my 2 gen yesterday, took about a morning to download, backup, install and stuff like that but it's up and working fine. Folders are cool on the home page, haven't tried all my apps yet but no reason to presume they will be problematic.:)

Ive heard that the iOS4 performance is terrible on the 2nd gen.

Nope. When I first had finished the download and unplugged my iPod it was extremely bad. Sooo much lag and yes very terrible. But then I just reset the iPod (holding power & home for 10 seconds) and everything works fine. Just the way it should. And if anyone cannot figure that solution out on their own.. God bless em' ;)

That is weird.. Wonder what it could be.. Well if anyone is holding out on updating because u've heard bad things I would deffinetly suggest trying it for yourself. I think iOS4 is great even without multitasking.. At least for my iPod. Folders is awesome.. Among other things. Not to mention it's free for us this time! So deffinetly just try it yourself..
