At one time, the Senate used to be considered the world's most exclusive club. When did it become a game of Survivor with the last remaining member of the clown car elected?

Maybe we shouldn't allow mentally ill people to run for senate. The US law is based on God's law??? How does your imaginary friend make laws? These people may very well be suffering from schizophrenia. But this reaffirms my belief that republicans no longer care about the constitution as it stands in the way of their agenda as currently written.

I really hope this November goes well for the Democrats, if not the US will be in a world of hurt.

Good thing we've got all those anti-sharia laws. Who knew we'd need them so soon?

No, but seriously, this is really sick and scary and totally unconstitutional. The right wing agenda must be defeated. Maybe more liberals will come out and vote if they feel threatened. I think a lot of liberals are really underestimating the threat. We will soon be living in right wing fascism if this isn't stopped quickly.

"American Taliban" is sounding less and less like hyperbole by the day.

Only difference is the countries that the Taliban terrorize generally despise them. In our case, just under 50% of our population supports them.

Seriously, it is more in the range 18-25%. The problem has been (for a long time, really) that moderates don't vote in primaries.

Maybe we shouldn't have judges at all, and just let God sort everything out...
