So I got my iPad from UPS on April 3rd (and it really was a glorious day).

First thing I did was inspect it. I noticed that in each corner of the glass there was a nearly-invisible mark around the corner. It looked almost like excess glue. I assumed it was from the plastic sheet protecting the screen in the box.

Now it's 20 days later and I can definitely confirm it isn't anything removable. Almost looks like its something under the glass (maybe excess glue?). On one hand, my iPad works great and it's really just aesthetic blemish. On the other hand it bothers me, and I did pay $600 for this thing.

What should I do? And does anyone know if Apple replaces unit a for defects like this anyway?

Call Apple and see what they tell you. I doubt they will do anything since it is cosmetic and it was not reported right away, but it is worth a phone call.

I definitely have those markings as well and they look too perfect to be glue. It may be just some form of tape that holds the screen. But i can only see it at a certain angle. I personally don't think it's worth investigating.

Oh wow I guess I do too. Never really noticed until you guys mentioned it. But as others have said, seems like it's a pretty standard thing and nothing you can really do:/ especially 20 days later.. But I think we can all see where your coming from, spending 600+ big ones on something and expect it to be perfect..
