iPad Air: Does it have to be plugged in and recharging when upgrading to iOS 8?

    Does an iPad Air need to be plugged in and recharging when upgrading to iOS 8?

    Current Battery Level: 94%

    No but it's a good idea. I don't remeber if they make it mandatory though? I believe you'll get a message that says to plug it in but I don't think you have to.

    No. I've upgraded three so far and only one was plugged in.

    It does not have to be plugged in for an OTA update, but the battery percentage has to be over a certain amount. (cant remember what it is though). 94% is definitely over it though, so I dont see a problem with that.
