I am looking purchase the next-gen iPhone when it comes out and also the WiFi only iPad. If I have an iPhone, who needs the iPad 3G? Anyway, I just realized that the browsing experience on the iPad is infinitely better than the experience on the iPhone, due to the larger screen and the faster processor. The new iPhone will most likely have an underclocked version of the A4 processor, but that leaves the problem of the small screen. Since I have an iPhone 3GS, I was wondering whether or not the iPhone can be tethered with the iPad through USB cable...

Use mifi , it's far better then a 3 g iPad because with it you have no data restrictions . It's works well and uses cell data also.

I use 3 g very seldom as in Canada mostly everywhere has wifi

So I bought mifi router which is just a rechargable access point that uses 3 g

That way I can get newer network speeds without upgrading my iPad every time.

Just a thought

Written on my iPad :)

If jailbreak is available then you can install an app that allows you to share your 3G connection wirelessly.
