iPad wifi owners: Do you use the instant hotspot feature on your phone for your iPad?

I've had a cellular iPad before and it's just as fast IMO.

I use a cellular iPad Air 2 daily in the field and would never be without one.

Speed wise I don't see any difference. Convenience since the new hotspot feature kicked in I see no difference there either. I do always go for the cellular option tho as it's handy for when you go on holiday to be able to pick up a local data sim but now three are rolling out around the world I won't bother this year when I upgrade.

Works great for me, I'm never without my phone, so I didn't see any point in getting a cellular iPad.

I have Air with LTE but still use a mobile hotspot and it worked very well.

When I had my iPad Air I used to do this when I was at work as we don't have WiFi. Worked brilliantly for me. Made more sense for me to just use a WiFi iPad and use the phones hotspot as I have unlimited data on my plan.

Regrettably though, I no longer have the iPad.

To be honest, I find tethering via bluetooth worked just as well/fast/easy as instant hotspot.

Bluetooth tethering is what I used to use pre-iOS8. I also experienced some teething issues with instant hotspot so for the first couple months of release, my fallback was bluetooth tether.
