I just updated to the public beta and when I try to turn on Private Relay, it’s trying to charge me $0.99 for the 50 GB iCloud+ plan. Problem is I already pay for that. Is there any way to fix this?

Happening to a lot of people apparently, most likely a bug that will be fixed soon.

Cool, thanks. I tried searching to see if anyone else mentioned it. Didn’t find anything but didn’t look hard either.

And literally as I typed the previous sentence, I got a banner notification saying Private Relay is active, so disregard this I guess.

Its a bug, I have the 2TB plan and in order to get Private Relay I have to downgrade my plan, but if I do it still gives me that message.

You can still access Private Relay by typing it in Settings App’s search field. Beware it’s very glitchy and buggy at the moment.

Reboot seems to sort for most People. Some said switching Wi-Fi off sorted it, and then was fine when turning Wi-Fi back on.

Okay, so i probably did something wrong over here, had not checked this post before :(

I am on 200GB plan, when trying for PrivateRelay, it showed me an upgrade option. I took that, it moved me back from 200 GB Plan to 50GB Plan.

I realized that was a mistake, upgraded my account again to 200 GB plan. so far so good.

Trouble I am having is when trying to share it with Family - i keep getting message "Action cannot be completed as this time"

Any clues how to fix this ? thx.

Other than restarting your device there is no “fix” on user side and Apple has to fix on their side. So I guess all you can do is waiting for a potential fix sometime down the line.

I’d say this one is also an apple side issue. You can try to log out and login your Apple ID and see if it fixes things, but don’t give too much Hope on that.

I got the activation banner overnight when I woke up this morning. But it didn't activate on my M1 iPad until I toggled WiFi off and on and it immediately activated. So far so good.

I “upgraded” through the app by subscribing and it hasn’t changed my normal billing date in the month. I think it just upgrades your settings from iCloud to iCloud+ And they need to adjust the wording in the future.
