My iPhone 14 Pro looses all network connectivity (WiFi & Carrier) randomly throughout the day and you need to do a full reboot to get a network connection again. This issue existed in 16.0 and was resolved in 16.0.1 but it reappeared in 16.0.2, if I downgrade to 16.0.1 everything is fine.

Does anyone have a similar issue?

Yes my iPhone 14 Pro Max keeps dropping Wi-Fi even though it’s not out of reach - since 16.0.2

I am on a 13 pro max and have the same problem. Poking around online I have seen a decent amount of people complaining about this. It’s IOS16 only. If you check twitter there’s people complaining and also a few posts on apple community, and a few on Reddit. It has been happening since 16.0 but still happening on 16.0.2 (I didn’t get a 16.0.1 because I’m on 13 pro max).

I have tried resetting router to factory settings, and resetting network settings on phone, and also all the various combinations of toggling privacy settings and have attempted using different DNS. Nothing has fixed it. I have resorted to leaving WI-FI turned off. I don’t notice any problems with mobile connection, just Wi-Fi. It also says “no internet connection” in Wi-Fi settings randomly on and off.

It is most certainly the iPhone. My network is corporate grade tech at home and it does this. The most obvious way to see it’s Software is that if you have suddenly switched from wifi to lte (by itself) you pull down the command center, long press on wifi and it will actually show you it’s connected to wifi instantly - like not a half second delay. It’s a software bug. 🙁

Yes, it's most definitely IOS16, I have other devices not on IOS16, and they work fine on the same network. Also I thought I would mention, I also tried turning off "Wifi Assist" in cellular settings, and it did nothing. Turning private relay off, and private browsing, and everything off, also did nothing. I see lots of posts about wifi calling having issues as well, and I'm wondering if it's related (probably is.)

Thanks, yeah definitely related to 16.0.2, I've logged a support ticket with a link to this post, hopefully it gets resolved asap.

Yes. Has been a problem since 16.0 and is cellular and WiFi. Reboot does fix it. iPhone 12 Pro. Carrier is AT&T.

Having this issue on 14 Pro AT&T, usually when I turn off wifi I get no cell data even though full service and only a reboot fixes it. Annoying as hell.

I got the exact same issue but im unsure about the IOS version makes any difference. It could be my defective iphone 14 pro? Phone connected to wifi and it will suddenly dropped off internet connection, I disabled wifi and use cellular data and no internet connection too but my other devices works perfectly fine on the same wifi network. It has to reboot the phone to get back the internet (Wifi/data).

My older iphone 13pro works fine with the same version IOS 16.0.3, it just keep happening on my Iphone 14 pro. I tried reset network settings, factory reset iphone, restore IOS and setup as a new iphone without restoring any backups and it is still the same (Ruled out apps/backup files corrupted). It will happen even the phone was empty.

I tried bringing back to Apple and they've diagnosed everything was fine after a reboot. Well, I dont like to keep reboot my iphone few times a day just to get back the internet connection on my 3weeks old brand new iphone. Anyone got any idea? TIA

PS: Wifi calling, private relay, VPN, Wifi assist everything was OFF.

Not likelynthat the problem is your 14 Pro. I now have a 14 Pro but just had a 12 Pro. Once I installed iOS 16 on the 12 Pro, the disconnect problems with WiFi and cellular started and of course the 14 Pro shipped with iOS 16 installed. Its the new OS. iOS 16.1 hopefully will fix this.

I updated my iPhone 12 Pro to latest 16.1 public beta, phone lost cell network. Enabled and disabled airplane mode, fixed issue. Last night I reset network settings. Will see if that resolves issue.

Can confirm having this issue on both my iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro. Tends to happen when I enter and exit an elevator where cellular temporarily loses connection, or when I leave or arriving home where it switches between cellular and WiFi. Only a reboot would solve this issue as far as I have tried.
Both are on iOS 16.0.3.

Exactly. You read my mind.

Same problem here with iPhone 14 Pro and iOS 16.1.
Apple told me that the phone is ok and probably it’s an iOS’s issue. Hope they fix it soon.

I am not sure if this is related. When I am on wifi and I turn it off, it sometimes will not connect to data on T-Mobile. I have bars but cannot browse anywhere. I am on 16.0.1 right now. I have been leaving wifi off and staying connected to the cell network and have not had any problems. Today I had to connect to public wifi in a grocery store so I could use the store app because T-Mobile sucks at the store. When I dropped the wifi after getting home, no service. It did come back eventually. The phone is a 14 Pro Max. It has been doing this since the first day I got it.

iOS 16.1 fixed all my connectivity problems both Wi-Fi and cellular. My phone swich between the two without problem now.

Thanks. I usually wait a few versions to update, to let apple work out all of the bugs it introduces into iOS but I might have to go ahead and install this one.

Still happening to me with iOS 16.1 (iPhone 14 pro max). Usually happens during the night. When I pick up my phone in the morning I have no connectivity at all (Wi-Fi or cellular). I have express vpn installed but turning it off in the evening doesn’t improve the situation. I have the problem maybe 2 or 3 times a week. Really annoying. Fast work around I found is, in the morning, to turn back on vpn in the main setting page. That fixes the connectivity issue.

Nothing change for me with 16.1.1; the phone has always connectivity problems.

this is a bug that i experienced also on my iphone 12. This bug only exist if i put the phone upside down, in arround 15 minutes the phone will lose network connection. For now the solution is dont put the phone upside down.
