Hey, did you test them?
Hey, did you test them?
I have two more cases arriving today (Nomad and Wiiuka), will probably try these first. Can’t wait for your first impressions. Always looked a bit too chunky to me but YMMV.
Dang, early January!?!Oof...Caudabe... *shakes head in disappointment*

Bearing in mind people who placed their orders for these way back in mid-September still haven't had these shipped yet.
Is this what you mean? All cases exist on a spectrum from very little to extreme drop protection. The Apple/Beats cases in general fall somewhere near the middle of that range. The Caudabe cases may be slightly more protective, but they’re not at Phone Rebel or Mous level, not even close.
Okay now after using a bit, lemme elaborate: Veeery nice to hold, round and smooth but very grippy. Clicky aluminium buttons. Functional CC button. Very strong MagSafe. Fluffy inside that holds onto the phone very well, but it is easy to remove nonetheless. ~1mm lip around the screen. The buttons stick out a bit much, but I don’t hold my phone up there so this would not be a problem. I kinda don’t want to take it off 😅

Sal, did your recent Sheath cases come with the little brochure card showing how to install the phone?
If you got the brochure, you got the updated cases. No brochure = old, first run cases 😩
I got the same message, verbatim for my black paragon order last Friday 11/21Dang, early January!?!
I ordered open Paragon Moonstone for 17 pro late last week. It was supposed to ship late November (this week). Now updated to early December. I messaged them on Instagram. Their reply last night:
We sincerely apologize for the delay in shipping your order. Our latest shipment has experienced delays in customs clearance, due in part to the recent government shutdown. U.S. Customs has unfortunately been a bit inconsistent in their processing speed recently.
That said, we do anticipate that inventory will arrive at our Cincinnati warehouse within the next 3-5 days, and we'll ship your order ASAP once it arrives.
Thank you for your patience and understanding!
Man, we can’t catch a break on these preorders 😔 I rarely preorder but wanted to take advantage of the 35% VIP offer.
I have a Pro and didn’t get an installation card for Sheath and Paragon. I had to get new buttons for my Sheath now it’s 100 and no rough seams. My Paragon perfect out of the box.Sal, did your recent Sheath cases come with the little brochure card showing how to install the phone?

It’s a German company. But they produce their cases in the same factory Bullstrap cases come from. (Someone else on here got sent a case with Wiiuka branding when they ordered a Bullstrap case)Never heard of that case.
Yeah, I recall your post. I know customs is out of Caudabe’s control, but wow, what an overall sh*t for them this launch.I got the same message, verbatim for my black paragon order last Friday 11/21
So which one feels more protective, Mous or Grip? Mous is open plateau though…It does not feel chunkier than the Mous at first glance. Smoother though, because it follows the form factor of the phone.
The Mous case feels more… substantial? It also has the added cushioning in the corners, which the Grip doesn’t have. But as we have seen on Reddit the Grip has already been accidentally extreme drop tested and did very well there. So which one feels more protective, Mous or Grip? Mous is open plateau though…
Which is slimmer? Looking to pick up a more protective case than the Paragon for certain situations. Open or closed doesn’t concern me.The Mous case feels more… substantial? Sounds very similar to my experience with the Sheath. Seam issues, creaking between camera control and power button, and bowed. The QC is a shame.I got my third Sheath yesterday and the seams were normal on this one. More visible on one side but not pointing out and I couldn't feel them on my palm. It is a huge difference holding the phone in hand, previous ones felt like you have a pebble in your shoe - it doesn't make it impossible to walk but it's annoying and you feel it there all the time. But sadly I'm returning it - it's bent outwards for some reason, has some stain on the back that doesn't want to go away and the main reason is that this one and the previous one both make squeaky sound when I hold the case on the sides. When you press harder it sounds like I'm pressing a button, but that is not a common situation. When I just grip the phone in hand to press the power button I can feel the squeak an it doesn't feel right, let alone premium. After trying out 3 Sheats for the base 17 it's really disappointing that QC isn't top of the game for the price. I am rocking a Paragon and no issues there so I know they can make a perfect one, even though it was perfect on 2nd attempt. But for Sheath sadly it's game over.
And I don't know what to get instead, I'm thinking I should've gotten the Pro model because a bunch of manufacturers I'd give a shot to don't make base 17 variants/don't have certain models available for it/have CC cutouts and I prefer the symmetry. On my previous phone Sheath was no.1 and no.2 was Mous. I was hoping this year Mous would have a more curved back following the shape of the phone, I had Limitless 5.0 Speckled Fabric and I loved the case but it was a bit uncomfortable and chunky to hold. They have a sale right now so it's tempting. Rational part of me feels like I should just be switching between Apple Silicone (there is no Apple care in Croatia so I'm 'stressed out' using the phone outside) and Paragon, but I know myself - I'll be tempted to buy something else especially since the Sheath didn't work out 😅
I have a Pro and the only issue I had was the buttons and they sent me new buttons and now it’s 💯. No issues with seams. Smooth as a baby’s a*s.Now I’m pretty anxious, my Sheath should arrive next week![]()
The question is, do you want a covered camera plateau or not? Otherwise these cases are pretty similar when it comes to heft and chunk. I’ll have the PR Gen 7 in a few days - stay tuned for the ultimate comparison 😂Which is slimmer? Looking to pick up a more protective case than the Paragon for certain situations.
Open or covered doesn’t concern me as long as it’s as close as possible to the form factor. I realize cases in this category start to lose the form factor and start getting chunkier. The question is, do you want a covered camera plateau or not? Looks like you could shave with those seams 🤣This Grey Sheath is awful all around. Mine is bowed backwards and the fitting is terrible on sides.
