Anyone tried the Bellroy Ventura Fog, does it get dirty/mark easy?
Black sold out.
Black sold out.
good pointI also prefer while looking at the phone’s screen seeing black from the front over seeing the gray.
I’m glad the Sheath is working out for you, but I’m surprised you like these heavier cases after being so into the thinny-thins last year. Curious, is it because of the more fragile nature of the aluminum construction, or something else? Inquiring minds want to know… 😉I appreciate the feedback from everyone.
I decided to stick with the black. I’ve already returned the gray and Synthesis was a no go for me.
There’s something about the Sheath in black, just looks its best and the most premium in black imo. The Celestial Blue buttons and Deep Blue camera rings against the black pops so nicely! I also prefer while looking at the phone’s screen seeing black from the front over seeing the gray.
Now just awaiting the Midnight Paragon and it will be paired with Celestial Blue buttons as well to compare to the Sheath and see which one I like more but as of now I’m totally loving the Sheath!
Had one returned it, felt too wide in the hands and also realised I would hardly use it as it was definitely going to become dirty quicklyAnyone tried the Bellroy Ventura Fog, does it get dirty/mark easy?

Give it a try, you may like itI have a bunch of reward points to burn, so had a Sheath in my cart, but held strong… lol. I really don’t need any more cases.
Both will look awesome. Either storm trooper look with the silver or dark knight with the blue. Can't decide, blue or silver pro max better with black cases, always buy black leather mostly lol
Excellent! Black was the one! Do you like the sheath more than the techwoven?I appreciate the feedback from everyone.

I was tempted. If they made a Paragon for the Air, I would’ve pulled the trigger.Give it a try, you may like it![]()
Ok so I’ll start by saying I was an avid fan of the Sheath and had one for every phone since the iPhone 7 Plus up until iPhone 15 Pro Max. I had a Synthesis for the first time for the 15PM because I gave up after dealing with the Sheath MagSafe ring fiasco.I’m glad the Sheath is working out for you, but I’m surprised you like these heavier cases after being so into the thinny-thins last year. Yes I do, the precise camera plateau is a huge plus for me.Excellent! Black was the one! Do you like the sheath more than the techwoven?
I’m looking forward to my Paragon arriving. I skipped it last year as you know I was all in ultra slim. This will be my first time trying it. Looking forward to seeing how I like it in comparison to the Sheath. From all the positive feedback about it I am pretty optimistic!I was tempted. If they made a Paragon for the Air, I would’ve pulled the trigger.
Truthfully, I haven’t really enjoyed the Sheath the past few years as they’ve gotten heavier and the finish has become more heavily textured—it just feels too much like a brick…lol. In any case, I doubt it would get used much since I love the Mous this year and I don’t need more than one beefy case for the Air.
I have a bunch of points to burn as well. I’m waiting for new colors for the Paragon to burn those points on.I have a bunch of reward points to burn, so had a Sheath in my cart, but held strong… lol. I really don’t need any more cases.
Can’t do wrong with black with silver iPhone.
IMO, either color phone would look great in that case!Guess you’re talking about your phone? Mine is the Deep Blue.
I’m torn between the black and gray sheath both paired with celestial blue buttons. Only keeping one.View attachment 2583285

I had black leather and matte teardown for my S22 Grip, prefered the leather one - my only regret was not ordering the light brown one instead of blackI’m warming up to the Grip. Day three with it and I have no immediate desire to take it off right now. 😂 I might try another skin with it sometime in the future. It came with the triple white Damascus skin, too. But while that one is more grippy it’s gonna be dirty in no time. I’m eyeing one of the leather skins. Has anyone tried these before?

Damn Brother.Ok so I’ll start by saying I was an avid fan of the Sheath and had one for every phone since the iPhone 7 Plus up until iPhone 15 Pro Max. I had a Synthesis for the first time for the 15PM because I gave up after dealing with the Sheath MagSafe ring fiasco.
I took a hiatus from Caudabe last year as the Sheath and Synthesis both felt bulkier from the 15 series versions and at that point felt too bulky for my taste. So I went the complete opposite route, got into thinny-thins last year with the 16 PM and was quite impressed leading me to make the switch.
There were no other full coverage cases that I liked after trying a few. Also last year and over the years I have entertained other full coverage cases and always ended up in a Sheath so I was already familiar with the market you could say.
Only other case outside of Sheath that I really liked was the old Evutec carbon fiber case, I’m talking about the slim one that was for like the iPhone 7 then they stopped making it and made a bulkier version and I was out.
I still do love ultra slim cases (I’ll quit calling them thinny-thins from this point on lol). I absolutely love what Pitaka has done this year with the addition of the CC button on the ultra slims for the Pro versions, they need to get that on board for the Air. I feel like it is now at its best and honestly Pitaka is the only one I’d personally choose for an ultra slim case.
Ok now on to the current phone and Sheath. Caudabe has claimed a 20% decrease I believe in bulk from last year’s version (don’t quote me). I can actually feel the difference from last year’s version which to me felt like the bulkiest the Sheath and Synthesis had ever been.
The weight doesn’t bother me which I thought probably would but it doesn’t, the whole weight issue can be very subjective imo. The case has so many pluses to it that weight alone isn’t a deal breaker for me.
Ok now why am I switching back from ultra thin lightweight case to a full coverage heavier case like the Sheath?
Few reasons, not to rain on this year’s Pro phones parade but none of the colors this year are super appealing to me. Deep Blue was my choice because it’s the “dark” option and that is usually my preference.
To clarify I have no concerns on scratching or fragile nature of aluminum etc… I take good care of my phone but I don’t get too worried about some things that people worry about like will my phone scratch from sliding it in and out of a case lol.
The aluminum finish while I love the fingerprint proof factor to it vs last year’s titanium, it just isn’t as premium feeling and looking and with colors that just aren’t my favorite. The ultra thin cases being the type of case that emphasize seeing the raw phone just didn’t turn out to be my jam this year due the phone’s material, design and colors.
Last year I loved feeling and seeing my black Ti (let me repeat that to Apple “black” lol) sides exposed with the ultra thin case and the much smaller black camera area this year not so much with the aluminum, the Deep Blue and the camera plateau.
The camera plateau, while it being exposed and open on cases doesn’t bother me or concern me about scratching or anything. I realized that I just don’t really like seeing the big forehead exposed and prefer a covered camera plateau case for this design.
Maybe it could be because there’s no black iPhone and I don’t care to see a large blue, silver or orange forehead. I love the way the Sheath Precise especially in black just allows the color of your phone to be an accent vs a huge colored forehead.
So really I think this year’s iPhone design has reverted me back to Sheath because it does everything right aesthetically this year imo with this year’s Pro phones. You saw the photos of the Black precise Sheath with Celestial Blue buttons to match the Deep Blue camera rings in the back. I personally find it very aesthetically pleasing which at the end of the day is what I’m looking for whether it’s ultra slim or the other end of the spectrum with the Sheath.
I no doubt would go back to ultra thin but just not this year that’s all. If I had an Air I’d stay the ultra thin route 100% with the gorgeous polished titanium sides, proper colors and thinness of the phone.
Sorry for the novel of a response!
Precise or open Sheath? While waiting (anxiously) for black Sheath I’m quite enjoying Decoded black leather case. Pinky friendly, super tight fit. From the design perspective - making a leather/metal case while it doesn’t look like leather and metal is a miss, it’s too cleanThe leather is pleasure to hold though, not slippery when wet and overall the look is very stealth. Also button alignment is a few micro millimeters off, also top and bottom screen lip is slightly lower than the center… but I see that is quite common with leather cases, (latest Moft review from MobileReviewsEh).
When is your Paragon arriving?I’m looking forward to my Paragon arriving. I skipped it last year as you know I was all in ultra slim. This will be my first time trying it.
