Iphone 3G Backup freezing --> One solution (facebook app)

My iphone 3G was freezing about 5/6 of the way through a backup. I searched online and found someone that said the facebook app was creating this havoc. I deleted the app from my phone and iTunes, and the back up went through with no problems.

Hope this helps somebody
