  1. iPhone-3G macrumors newbie

So basically I've spent the last 3-4 days doing everything that I've found but nothing has worked.

The furthest I have gotten: Can play music, notes, photos/camera, calculator

    >I was given this second hand iPhone 3G that according to the original owner was a "bin job" (junk) soo I spent a while on it and got it up to the above (Ofcourse that is better than throwing it away)

    So the problem is:
Wi-Fi grayed out (No internet access)
    No signal (Can't call etc)
Nothing else that I am aware of

The baseband was on the iPad... so I downgraded it because this was supposed to fix the above, but it didn't work.

    I've updated the firmware using sn0wbreeze-v2.9.7 >> iPhone1,2_4.2.1_8C148_Restore.ipsw >> sn0wbreeze_iPhone_3G-4.2.1-8C148.ipsw

The current stats of the iPhone 3G are:
    Version: 4.2.1 (8C148)
    Carrier: Not Available
    Model: MB489B
    Serial Number: 84833ZG****
    Wi-Fi Address: N/A
    Bluetooth: 00:23:12:7E:94:49
    IMEI: 01 171300 705744 6
    ICCID: 8944 2000 0804 3051 509
    Modem Firmware: 05.15.04
    Device Model: MB489B/A - iPhone3G
    Installed Firmware Version: 4.2.1
    Installed Baseband Version: 05.15.04-59_M3S2
    ECID (Dec): 167168259533
    ECID (Hex): 26EC0135CD
Firmware Installation Setup: sn0wbreeze + iPhone1,2_4.2.1_8C148_Restore.ipsw = sn0wbreeze_iPhone_3G-4.2.1-8C148.ipsw < Which I then installed using iTunes ( I had to use iREB to get in to DFU mode before installing)

Not sure if I've missed anything but I'd really appreciate your help on fully "unlocking" my iPhone..

    Thank you.
