Iphone 4 stuck on apple logo

I tried to hold the hold & home button, it turns off then turn back on to the apple logo screen. I let it die and after it was done charging, the apple logo appears on the screen again. I tried to plug it into ITUNES but it doesnt detect it. What are other ways can I fix this problem? The apple logo will not go away.

Try holding the power and home button for 10+ seconds while plugged into your computer. Supposedly it should take you into recovery mode to which you could restore you iPhone. Try it out?
