    Hey all,

I'm currently using my girlfriend's old iPhone 4 as a backup phone (actually, not even connecting to our network at the moment, just using it as an iPod touch essentially).

I updated it to iOS 7 a few weeks ago and it has been pretty glitchy, slow, crashing apps, etc. I can't recall if it was problematic much before then, but there are times now when it is almost useless or I have to stand around for a minute or two to get something done.

Since I don't plan on reselling at the moment and I can't upgrade it to iOS 8, what are some good options? Is my best bet to jailbreak it and use a customized iOS version that the phone can handle a little better? I have no issue doing that, just haven't gotten around to it yet and I figured I'd elicit some opinions here first.

    Thanks.
