It was rumoured today in a local paper that the iPhone 4S would be selling under contract at AU$799 for the 16GB model. Another big Aussie rip off.

16GB -> $799 AUD
32GB -> $899 AUD
64GB -> $999 AUD

I'm pretty damn sure that those prices are unlocked. :rolleyes:

Anyway, you're lucky Australia is getting it on the 1st phase. NZ doesn't even have a release date set! $999 AUD equivalents to $1260 NZD. That's pretty cheap. I'm sure when NZ gets the price will be $1400+ for the 64GB. So I know what I'll be getting.

Here we go again...

Yet another "how come it's only $199 in the US?"

Because thats on a 2 year contract. Apple AU sell them unlocked and unsubsidised. That's the full price of the iPhone.

After three damned years you'd think people would've figured that out by now.

stop being so rude what is up with you fan boys people like you give apple followers a bad name.

the prices are pretty similair everywhere to CHRISBBARNES. Im over here in aus working at the moment and compared to the uk prices its jus like £5 differences. Worth the money though in my opinion its a sweet peice of kit.
