    Longer Que

Im guessing this year that there will be a longer que due to there not being pick-up pre-orders from store.

Will this mean we will all have to be there that bit earlier?

Think I'm gonna go Lakeside. Too tight to pay £1.50 for the tunnel.

No I went Regents street like a fool! Queued up for 6 hours.
A friend did, turned up at 6am and was 3rd in the queue. Also they only had 2 lines, one for contracts and one for offline.

Plus let's be honest, the people in Essex aren't the iPhone type of people, unless it has a spray tan app!

I was reading that Bluewater ran out of Iphone 4 stock at 8.30am last time – I’m going to chance it at Regent St. I think London should be a better bet now that there are a few Apple stores.

Seriously! Ran out thats mental. But I really don't think there will be as much demand for the 4S this time!

not sure where you read that... an Apple guy came round and was asking what model we wanted at about 11am i think about 20 people after me they ran out... so you could say they ran out of stock at about 11:30am, if what your telling me if right then i hope they learn from there mistakes and have more stock this time, besides... i dont think they will be a pertically high demand this year as you could argue that there isnt an upgrade like the 3GS to iPhone 4

    ----------

well a guy has just tweeted me telling me he is getting there 10pm thursday night!!

That's just what I read, take it with a pinch of salt - here is the article:

    http://www.macworld.co.uk/ipad-iphone/news/index.cfm?newsid=3228016

"The Apple Store at the Bluewater shopping centre in Kent saw a queue of around 250 people, and the Store ran out of iPhone 4 units before 8:30am."

Demand is a hard one to call, judging by the amount of pre-orders it seems to be very popular, but maybe this means the stores will be quieter? I really wouldn't like to guess. It has been over a year since the last release, I reckon quite a lot of people are looking to upgrade from their now-expiring 2 year contracts, so I suspect it could be in high demand.

Regents street will have the most devices but also will be the busiest.

think i might be extra sure and get up Bluewater for about midnight or 1:00am i would rather wait hours and hour and get my hands on 1 than wait 4-5 hour and not get 1!!

I'm wondering if everyone will have the same idea and go to the Covent Garden store thinking it will be quieter. I think having 2 main stores should help the queues as the CG store wasn't open for the Iphone 4 launch.

I just can't be bothered with going into town then getting back out, and screw it if it rains. Drive to Lakeside, then drive home.
