All, just wanted to give a story from my travels. A buddy of mine at work was sitting on a bench getting his gear on when his iphone 4S fell out of his pocket, MAYBE a 2ft fall. Fell flat on it's screen and wouldn't turn back on. It perplexed me seeing as I've dropped mine from higher up and nothing major happened. With his phone all I did was hold the Power and Home buttons like you'd do for a restore and it came back on.

Anyone else find this odd?? Happy 4th btw!!!

Did he have a case on it? If it was naked, that would be why. iPhones are extremely fragile when not properly protected.

While height does factor in falls, it's also where the device lands that's important (on the glass front, hitting a sharp rock, etc.)
