Some users are experiencing a purple color on their photos and videos. Anyone experiencing the same thing?

I just took this picture and tried it out with the light.. U will notice two purple circles. Disappointing

Citing the issue is ‘major’ and shouldn’t be overlooked

My god....... The quality that comes from the iPhone 5 pictures is literally AMAZING...So crisp and clear. No need for regular cameras anymore!!!

i wonder if the purple circles are only certain ones like the black paint seems to be ?

I've shot quite a few test pictures in various light conditions and have seen no purple effect in any of them. I have the Black phone as well. I'm actually quite impressed with the camera, although it's never the reason I buy the phone. I always consider cameras on phones to be more of a toy, and prefer to use my dedicated photography equipment for shoots.

Having said that, as a point and shoot camera, the iPhone 5 does a very good job indeed.
