I pre-ordered an iPhone 5C on Sunday in-store at my local Vodafone store and I want to pick it up on Friday morning before work.

The store opens at 8, but I've no idea if I'll need to queue or not. Has anyone got experience of launch day at a network store? The store is in my local town centre, a fairly large shopping centre in a town of around 70,000.

Well there was definitely no need to arrive early!

I arrived at about quarter to 8. There was one person waiting, and out of the 3 other network shops I passed on the way (O2, EE and Carphone Warehouse), there was no-one there.

Just me and the other guy when the store opened at 8, and while I was being served, one more person walked in.

My friend who was serving me mentioned that for iPhone 5S stock they had 26 16GB, and one 32GB (which the original queuer bought). No 64GB.

On my way back I popped into the O2 store for a PAYG SIM - they told me (at 8:30) that they'd sold one iPhone 5S.
