So with no pre orders for the 5s I'm going to have to travel an hour to Norwich to pick one up on launch day. Debated lakeside but figured a little too close to London.

Never queued before as I've always had it delivered, anyone queued here before? Any hints or tips? What time to queue from? Where to park? Etc etc

    Thank you

    Thanks Gav.

On your advice I did email Chapelfield and they had a meeting with apple yesterday. The security team wil be coming back to me. Will update this thread just in case it's of interest to anyone else. :)

I'll be doing this. Not sure on a time to go in, Apple Store is opening at 8am though.

I keep debating between whether to turn up super early at 4am or slightly sensible at 6am!

I've emailed chapelfield this morning and they said their security team was meeting Apple this morning to discuss. I reckon, doors will open at 7, store at 8, when I used to work in Chapelfield the door which would be open early is the side door near Chantry Road.

I was gonna head for the chantry road enterance. Depends if orderly queue forms there then when the doors open everyone legs it in!!

If I were you I'd try and park around Walpole Street, there are a number of 8.30am to 6.30pm 2 hour bays around that area that will be OK to park in until 10.30am or so.

Just had Chapelfield tweet me this: The car park will be open from 5am and we will open the Chapelfield Plain doors at 5am too. Apple Store opens at 8am.

So the Chapelfield car park will be open? That's handy!

Where abouts are those doors? I don't know Chapelfield that well.

They are the big doors out the front, near where Office, GBK, Wagamama's and stuff are. If you want, PM me your iMessage and we can have a chat and come up with a plan of action if you like!

If the car park is open you should be able to go straight up in the lifts into Chapelfield itself.

Just to confirm earlier information I got an email from Chapelfield today saying car park open at 5am and plain doors to queue from.

Just as soon as the car park opens, leave my house at 4.30, park in Chapelfield as soon as it opens at 5, and walk round to the Plain.

Any idea how the queueing will work, I only say this because there are many entrances to Chapelfield.

Also, once the centre opens can we run for our lives to the Apple Store or will there be queues outside Chapelfield?

Getting excited now, just hope I get one!!

    Thanks.

They are only opening one entrance at 5am so queue-jumping shouldn't be an issue.

It's definitely at 5am? I thought it was one hour before the Apple Store opened, so, 7am.

What doors, where the massive TV used to be?

    Thanks.

    ----------

This may be taken down (as it's advertising) but anybody who is going very early would you prepare to meet for a certain amount of cash? Name how much.

That's what it says earlier in the thread and here on Facebook. Yup, those are the doors in question.

I'm clearly too early. Not a soul here. Be good to have someone to chat to if there are anymore early birds. Lol
